OverviewExperience the Eastern CapeThe Eastern Cape is a complex diversity of fauna, flora and experiences - from the inland semi-arid regions of the Great Karoo, to the lush green paradise of the Tsitsikamma Forest and the mountainous glory of the southern slopes of the Drakensberg Mountains. The two main cities within this region are Port Elizabeth and East London. The 'Friendly City', Port Elizabeth, has the most sunshine of any other coastal city in South Africa. East London is located on the broad Buffalo River and is South Africa's only port river city. This city has many beautiful un-spoilt and unpolluted beaches that stretch for miles along the Indian Ocean. With strong links to the British history and German lineage obvious in the well preserved architecture adding charm to this coastal city, this is the ideal place to experience South African hospitality at its best! The Wild Coast is a region of scenic splendour characterized by the lush green forests of the Tsitsikamma, the clear mountain springs and a rugged coastline of white beaches and sheer rocky cliffs.
